State Assessments

Statewide Testing

Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child's learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support.

Your child may be taking one or more of the following California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC), and Physical Fitness Test assessments. Pursuant to California Education Code Section 60615, parents / guardians may annually submit to the school a written request to excuse their child from any or all of the CAASPP assessments. This exemption does not exist for the ELPAC or Physical Fitness Test.

In addition to the information below, the Parent Guides to Understanding web page provides links to two-page flyers that answer key questions (what, why, who, how, and when) about California's assessment programs.

To Access CAASPP/ELPAC Student Score Report

When will CAASPP and ELPAC summative STUDENT SCORE REPORTS (SSRs) be available to parents/guardians?

CAASPP and Summative ELPAC Student Score Reports (SSRs) are released by the testing vendor (ETS) during the summer months. SSRs become available on a rolling basis as the tests are scored. As a result, SSRs for students in the same household may not become available at the same time.

To access your child's report:
  1. Login to id.pausd.org.
  2. Click the Infinite Campus tile to open the application.
  3. Click Menu in the upper left corner.
  4. Under Menu, click More.
  5. Click Assessments.
(Note: Ignore the banner at the top of the page that states "No assessments available." We are working with Infinite Campus to remove this banner, which appears even when student results are available.)
  6. If you have more than one child enrolled in the district, select the child whose report you are looking up (top right corner).
  7. Select a language, and then click the Generate button.
  8. If you need assistance accessing the results, please contact us via Let’s Talk.
